Health is a human right, due to its social dimension it requires the will of the governments of the countries, where different sectors of society intervene, aimed at guaranteeing full coverage of qualified human resources that improve the health and quality of life of populations, through actions to promote health, risk prevention rehabilitation, healing and continuous care centered on the person.

Among the challenges of Nursing in the 21st century is contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals, especially those aimed at improving health and well-being, gender equity and economic development, emphasizing that nurses are important for health care, increasing community cohesion and improving the population´s level of education, using science, technology and innovation to achieve global health.
